A Marylebone-turned-Clerkenwell local since a few months, I saw the signs (and the queues) of the Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW) for three days. I finally decided to go have a look…
My first surprise was the discovery of The Farmiloe Building, which I passed by many times but never paid attention to. The Victorian building was owned by the lead and glass merchants George Farmiloe & Sons.
I noticed three recurrent themes in the design community shown at the CDW: wood, three-legged tables, and creative lamps.
I was initially browsing, before looking for outdoor furniture… but ended up buying a cake mould!
Farewell CDW 2013, looking forward to CDW 2014!
